Motivated by her own humble beginnings, Mrs. Willa “Mother” Fletcher used her retirement savings to invest in the creation of the Holt Street Project. In 1991 The Holt Street Project was created out of Mother Fletcher’s passion to relieve the suffering of the poor and less fortunate. Mother Fletcher and her loving son, Walter Gilbert, teamed up to buy and restore the old building that is currently known as Holt Street Miracle Center.
